Astronaut and chemist Dr. Don Pettit does physics demos that are out of this world. Currently on board the International Space Station, Dr. Pettit presents fantastic physics that can only be demonstrated in micro-gravity.

The show has been presented by Professor Clint Sprott on the Madison campus over 200 times to a total audience of about 70,000. In addition a traveling show has been developed and presented by physics graduate students and staff over a thousand times to audiences of all ages throughout Wisconsin and the nation. Each activity in this series demonstrates the difference between mass and weight by comparing students' results with the results of astronauts aboard the space station.
